A Great Horned Owl is recovering at the WSU Veterinary Teaching Hospital after it was found by staff and students on Tuesday morning.
The owl was between Fulmer Hall and Wegner hall and students from the vet hospital rescued the bird who appeared to sick or injured.
The hospital has not found any sign of injury and both of the bird's wings are in working order. The hospital confirmed that the owl does, however, seem to be suffering from dehydration and is receiving recovery support in the way of fluids and vitamins.
The vet hospital stated that a number of things could have caused the owl to collapse on campus, but for now the animal is stable and they will continue to monitor it's condition until the owl is fit to be released.
