SEL announces plans for child care facility | Business
Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories Inc. announced plans to build a day care facility for it's Pullman employees. The Friday announcement came after employee feedback regarding the need for flexible childcare options.
“I am so happy we will be able to offer a childcare option to SEL Employee Owners,” said Dr. Edmund O. Schweitzer III, SEL Founder and CEO. “I envision a rich learning environment that will inspire a lifelong passion for knowledge, creativity, and innovation.”
The plan for the day-care is in the early stages of development, but it was enthusatically received by employees who struggle to find childcare due to the early hours that they work. As of now, there is no official start date for construction.
“It is exciting to be part of developing a program for children in this community that promotes learning through creativity and exploration,”explains Beatriz Schweitzer, Director of Business Development for SEL . “At the same time, this will allow parents the convenience and security of having their children in close proximity during the day.”
